Buying price 6531 Rupees, Buying month October 2016″####” Writing Review after 3 months of moderate to extensive usage “####”Over All review:A good all round mixer blender with good build quality of food grade plastic and some very good features, A stylish addition to home, the ABS unit which holds the motor is very sturdy and good design to absorb vibration, being my 3rd Preethi product, we now have immense trust for their products, now coming to our observation jar by jar.Master Chef Jar:This is the main attraction for us to buy this product, it totally didn’t disappointed us, Very well built jar, We minced meat, grated onions, juicee orange, all perfectly done, there atta kneader is a revelation, we get very well kneaded atta if procedure rightly followed. Slicers we are still to use looks it will also work well.0.5 Litre Chtney Jar:Most frequently used jar, felt it’s spaciously designed, grinding chutney and other items were smooth, and handle was also very sturdy.Juicer Jar :We used both centrifugal Jar and blender juice, centrifugal though good will be quite a challenge to clean after use and have to be handled with care during cleaning, blender juicer was good and does its job.1 Litre Dry Jar:Grinded masala and roasted coffee beans with it, masala grinded was smooth, Coffee was of Turkish coffee consistency, I expected it to be very fine of filter coffee consistency, nevertheless good Jar.2L Jar :Still to use, we will update as and when we use.Cons :1) Though not very noisy, but certain task like atta kneading may product a loud noise.2) Some accessories in master Chef Jar like Citrus juicer feel plasticy, doubt if it’s food grade.3) Cleaning master Chef Jar sometimes quite a challenge.Overall a very good addition to kitchen, you will take quite some time to use all its features.

Preethi Zodiac MG 218 750-Watt Mixer Grinder (Black/Light Grey)It’s a real looker..So I really wanted to replace my old mixer (Preethi Blue Leaf) and I was keeping an eye for this product for the past 6 months at least. Finally I bought it. First impression was AWESOME!! It looks really good.It was individually well wrapped on plastic bag and kept in a cardboard hosting. I am pretty sure that it was meant to protect it while shipping. So I started unwrap the bag and tried to assemble the jars and the bottom assembly (motor), I find that the jars are kind of dirty with some dust and smells like a ‘factory’ (probably it might have picked up from the manufacturing facility). So first thing first, I washed them individually using soapy warm water by hand and then rinse it with the motor running on normal water and everything was cleared and no foul smell. (I believe that Preethi should have taken care of this from their manufacturing facility itself) Not a deal breaker.Bottom Assembly (Motor Casing)***************************************It has a wide bottom and meant for stability with rubber holder (esp. while kneading atta using Master Chef jar), which does it’s job. Comparing to the Blue Leaf I had before, the air went is at the bottom (Good thing) so that if the jar is over flowing/leaking during grinding water seeping into the motor is minimal. It has two light indicator, one at the speed knob and other just below that, it lights Blue. It runs relatively quiet compares to Blue Leaf. (Good thing)I kind of felt that the knob is cheap. It is wobbly and it is not sturdy as Preethi Blue Leaf. It is the frequently used thing on the mixer and I don’t know why Preethi would go for a cheap looking/feeling wobble speed knob. It was just a turn off for the whole product. I saw that my product was manufactured on March 2017 as per the box (This product was released on April 2016 as per Amazon) and they haven’t fixed/noticed it (Very Bad).Motor coupler looks not really strong either. (If you’re wondering what motor coupler is, it’s the small white rotating thing that drives the jar). It just got four teeth and I kind of have a feeling that it will broke, if you run it with a heavy load (grinding turmeric/whole wheat) (Very Bad). Blue Leaf had 6 teeth on it’s coupler. I will update the review if the coupler is broken.Rating: 2/5Master Chef Jar*******************This is one the jar that was advertised heavily on this mixer.Well, Is it gonna replace your food processor? Read on.Mater Chef jar comes with it’s own set of accessories.Grating and slicing bladeBeater and chopping bladeCitrus juice extractor. It was marked up to 1500ML as the maximum volume. However, if you run this with 500ML water, it just over flows! So the actual liquid volume is little over 400ML, when you run the jar with liquid in it, it just climbs the side and over flows.. So watch out. (Bad)The slicing blade came with just one size. How you’re going to make thick/thin slices with just one blade? (Bad) I am not sure if there are different size blades available for purchase separately, if yes, please put that in the comment section below.Preethi ships just the grating/slicing blade where you can attach to a disc. The scary part is that I almost cut myself while trying to change the blade. You really need to watch out while changing the blade.(Horrible Design Flaw)There is a gear assembly on the Master Chef jar to reduce the torque (rotating speed) on this jar. And the gear assembly is poorly designed (how???), It just create a very loud uncomfortable noise. It is really loud that I hate to use the whole jar.. What a bummer!!So to answer the first question. Will this replace your food processor?? Hell NO!!Rating: 3/5Juicer Jar***********The 3-in-1 Insta Fresh Fruit Juicer Jar is another hyped jar. It comes with two sets of blade and a pusher. It really extract juices out of apples, Grapes, pomegranate etc really well. You can use the spout to extract the juice instantly or you can draw it from the jar itself. (Good thing)Cleaning can be a daunting task as it got several parts. So I try to use only when I need to use this for larger quantities or when some special occasions.Other Jars************It got other three Stainless Steel jars. (Big, Medium and Small). I just love them. They looks really good and build perfectly. I really like the small jar (Chutney Jar), which now got a handle! (Really Good thing)Rating: 5/5Conclusion:**************This mixer is not dish washer friendly, which means that you need to hand wash this everytime. Juice extract jar will be a pain to use as it got too many little stuffs to clean. Come on Preethi, it’s 2017.. You need to start making products that are compatible with a dish washer.Do I still recommend this product? Yes, only if you’re looking for a good mixer grinder, with multi-functions.But if you already have a food processor or you have Preethi Blue Leaf or anything similar, then don’t upgrade to Zodiac, it is not worth it and you may not be able to get the real value for money out of it.Overall Rating: 3/5—————————Edit: 1Please don’t get me wrong. Though I have rated this mixer 3/5, it is still one of the best mixer that you can get in the market. It has a very powerful motor. The 3 grinding jars are second to none.Master Chef jar work flawlessly for slicing/grating (I just complained about not been able to adjust the grating/slicing sizes and it’s design)Juicer works perfect. If you’re health conscious and you drink lot of veg/fruit juices, you will reclaim this investment within 6 months!!If you’re from South India, then you can find the service center for Preethi in almost every city/town. (I’m really not sure about the rest of India. I saw couple of comments saying that there is no service center in N. India. Please check the available Service Center for your city/town on Preethi website and just give them a ring, before you click Add to Cart, just to make sure they are there!!)Edit 2:My observation about the Motor coupler (white cap thing that drives the jar blades) was right… Finally it really broke down.. Luckily I was able to get it fixed by the authorized repair outlet in Chennai before the second lockdown!!You wouldn’t believe how much it costs me to fix it… Rs. 17!! yeah… I gave them Rs. 20 note and he even gave my change!!I am increasing the star to 4, just for the splendid after sales service of Preeti after 4 years!!

This is reportedly an amazing machine, but not harshly loud when considering its commercial use internal design. Initially, my wife was rather nervous about starting it even though the machine has a sleek and home-use appearance with a nice blue LED strip, excellent suction feet and all. The dosa batter and the coconut chutney she wanted to grind took just about a quarter of the time compared to the 750W Philips machine she was using for 14 years! The big smile she had when the task was done was testament of its awesome power, But the jars are not hands-free unlike the Philips machine which has an arm that locks on to the lid of the jar making it hands-free operation. This model is discontinued now. Delighted with this new machine. A third and smaller jar (200 to 300 ml) would have made this PERFECT says my wife.

Noise level is high but it is unavoidable to any mill.It is an excellent machine, easy to handle, easy to clean. Not accompanied with unwanted accessories. I can vouch this machine is the best of kind in the world. I have used blenders made in Japan, Europe, America (120v), China etc., Earlier, in the 1980s, Sumeet was the best blender. Now Preethi is the king of kitchen. I may suggest the manufacturer to remove the tag “COMMERCIAL” on XPRO model. I purchased this machine for my home use. I already own a Preethi Zodiac with so many compulsory accessories. The accessories should be optional. The manufacturer should make the spares of all models of blenders (gaskets, couplers, jars etc) available on e-commerce store. It’ll be great if the manufacturer produce XPRO model in 120v for the Americas. I’m glad to say this XPRO blender has replaced my wet grinder.

It is noisy, cheap plastic, difficult to use.Received with a broken cap and I don’t know if I have ever received a product with such bad quality. I could have bought either Bajaj or Phillips and call it a day. This makes too much noise. Very bad built.Stopped working after 2 weeke of use. Please avoid wasting your money on this. Go for anything but Preethi. Such horrendous product with zero use.

The Preethi Xpro Duo MG 198 Mixer Grinder delivered to us arrived a day early, neatly packed. After leaving the pack in quarantine at home for 3 days, it was opened, only to find that both the Jars, as well as the Motor Unit were used! Check out the attached pictures, it is clear that the Motor Coupling shows black marks from hastily affixing the Jar and running the mixie. Both the Jars show signs of having been used and washed too! Surprising that Amazon did not check the parts being shipped! In any case, the Mixie was promptly picked up today and now, we await a full reimbursement.Since we did not use it, I am not rating it. Will add/ modify and rate the product when the new unit arrives and is used – its not correct to do so without using the product!General opinion is, however, that this particular model of the product is one of the most rugged and efficient out there in the market, with its large motor and relatively less noisy operation.Ok so we got the reimbursement the next day, as payment was on Debit Card. Fresh Unit was shipped, but the jar’s lid does not close tight: wife splattered Mango Shake all over kitchen walls & her dress!!Returned, got the money back again, next day.In short, very powerful motor, but the jar’s are NOT designed for such power. Buy at your risk, this is an honest review: our previous Preethi Bluebird was good for about 8 years!!So chapter closed… We are still in need of a mixie though…

I bought this product in India and my main purpose was grinder. It is so confusing it says has got grinder but none of the jar mentions grinder jar/blade.Not even in booklet it mentions which one is grinder blade.I bought it because made in India and I live in UK. Can’t find way to contact seller either to help with this product which is bit disappointing.I would really appreciate if anyone else can help.

I like the super fast grinding of this machine
RASEEM R –
The led wasn’t working for puree!! Sacrificing jar, dicer for 1000w.should have included all of it in the top model when was provided for the basic except that you get centrifugal juicer. After a while Master jar nut and bolt all just came off, it wasn’t held tight.
Isua –
Mixer grinding working good but the jar is very bad. top pat of the lid is too bad in shap and the because for the different shap the lid doesnt sit properly and the liquid comes out when we us As it is used for commercial purpose it is given as 2 lts and we will be able o grind less than 1 lts. It is beterto give normal shap Jar on the top part.

Though product is good for demo they took more than 7 days

It kk for the money. The cap is difficult to manage as it will not fit independently when in use. Always need a hand over the jar for grinding. Otherwise good

Preethi Zodiac Mixer Grinder is excellent. Its Dry and wet grinding are good with fine pasted / Powder within a few seconds, though the Noise level is little high. But the Chopper is not so good. I tried chopping Cabbage and it became too fine like a paste, when I pulsed it for 6-7 times. If I stop after 3-4 pulses, several large pieces remained on the outer side in the jar. I expected uniform fine pieces. My curry became a paste. I got disappointed. Except Chopping, everything else is good. Thanks

Thanks

This mixer/blender does its job well. However, it is messy to use because the lids are not leakproof and the contents , when you first put it on, can spatter all over the place.

Overall ok product, nice to have multiple features in a single product, but the quality needs to be improved, will I go ahead next time, sure NO.

Both the lids are not tight hence anytime the whole area can get splashed with the liquid inside I spite of holding the lid while running the mixer.

This is sooo worth for it’s price and so easy to use and clean. The 5 jars can be used for different purposes and it is absolutely good. Definitely buy it!! i get headaches from the sound of the mixers and this doesn’t produce much noise either

I purchased the Preethi Zion MG-227 750 Watt Mixer Grinder, and overall, I am quite satisfied with its performance. This mixer grinder comes with four jars (three stainless steel jars and one Master Chef Plus jar), making it highly versatile and suitable for various kitchen needs. The quality of the jars and attachments is impressive. They are sturdy, durable, and designed to handle different grinding and blending tasks efficiently. The mixer grinder is also quite handy and easy to use.One minor drawback I noticed is that the mixer grinder tends to be a little noisy, especially at higher speeds. However, considering its powerful 750-watt motor and the excellent results it delivers, this is a small trade-off.The Master Chef Plus jar is particularly useful for kneading dough and chopping vegetables, adding to the convenience of this appliance.Overall, the Preethi Zion MG-227 750 Watt Mixer Grinder is a great buy for anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality mixer grinder. Its versatility, sturdy build, and efficient performance make it a valuable addition to any kitchen, despite the minor noise issue.

The food processor jar out of others is the only positive I could say about this Mixie. The other jars are sub par quality, joints of one of the stainless steel jar already rusty (especially for the biggest jar). Way too much noisy, gets overloaded quite easily, blades requires frequent tightening if we grind something thick as dosa batter with less water. Grinding itself takes time and you have to hold that lid otherwise it’s gonna swirl out like Deepali crackers. The juicer jar is a joke.Small jar for grinding is alright. The other positive would be the looks (if you care).

This thing is very loud. The food processor is especially piercing loud, like unsafe for ears loud, we use earplugs loud. The blender function is often splattering contents out. The lids don’t seal well so not only do you have to use strength to keep it on, but it will leak contents out. To avoid this you will need to only fill it to about a half to about a third of its size or less. The blender can hardly blend bananas fully. I’d say you’d have to be blending for about 30 seconds plus to complete blend a banana. You’ll be left with chunks with any food more firm. The other attachments are nice to have but again just don’t work that great and are incredibly noisy.Would not recommend. Hoping to find a better blender in India

My second preeti Iam using since 2012 Nitro max still in the dervice. On opening the box got disappointed for the packing inside is not in the order. Suspecting demo product or returned product sold to me. Refer the photoAny way since, A similar product Inalsa FP was in use we straight away started using it.One day usage only with master chef bowl for kneading and Veg cutting found to be satisfactory.

Powerful motor. No leakages.Grip provided to give a stable platform.Due to powerful motor, noise is high.Have to hold the top lid for few jars..Juicer blade change lock functionality could have been better

Product is good. Quality good. Extra Accessories also good. But noisy when running that is only problem I see in this.Grinding fine, easy cleaning. Easy wheat dough making process, easy chopping and slicing.
