The machine is fine. However the heating tends to happen unevenly on the plate. This leads to doss or chappatis burnt on one side to get whole surface cooked. Also the side strip has cracked due to overheating on one end.

I tried reaching your service but I did not get proper response or any option related to that. It was a gift to my uncle who had operation and was in need of it, complete embarrassment. The device was working fine first two days, then the kettle started leaking water. This is very bad, we are not able to use it efficiently. I wanted to have replacement but no service was provided after the order has been delivered. I am not satisfied with this product, as it wasted my money and as well as amazon services.

I used this product in my whole 4 years of engineering . I never cleaned it . I used it in a rough manners . I used to cook everyday . Then at the end of my college it sold it .Conclusion :- this thing is very durable . Definitely go for it .

But know that the seller lists several types of PIGEON Kettles in the same ad. Unless the review refers to this particular model – you could well end up seeing a review of a product and buying a different one. The ratings are also an aggregated mix. There could be 10 negative review of the product you are seeing and 10 positives for the other products. The page will show you a neutral review. That’s the game sellers are playing these days – to avoid negative reviews. I have posted a picture of the stove I am referring to in this review.2. WATTAGE: Important because this tells how quickly the water will heat up. This one is 1500W – meaning that you can switch it on … brush your teeth and find the water is boiled. Great time saving !! My earlier one was 900W and it used to take 10-15 minutes of patient waiting. The gas stove boiled water faster. This one takes about 3-4 mins to heat 2 mugs of coffee3. CABLE LENGTH: Most of these kettle makers skimp on the cable length. I have purchased kettles to find they have only a 2-foot long cable … and I had to return them. This is good enough to make 4-5 decent sized mugs of coffee6. COOKING OTHER STUFF: The ad says only water – but I see no reason why you cannot heat Maggi etc. Maybe you can. But avoid milk as the expanding effect will cause spills and this can have adverse effects.7. LOOKS: Quite okay for the price. It will not make your kitchen look bad – and neither will it enhance the looks. This is the most common look that an electric kettle can have.8. PERFORMANCE: I have used for 2 days only. No complaints so far. There is a 1-year guarantee card accompanying the product9. HANDLE: Very convenient feel when you lift it it from the heating cradle. Does not feel very heavy even if there is a full 1.7L of water.10. NEGATIVES: This is a steel jug. The outside will automatically heat up. If you are used to a plastic outside in your previous kettle, you need to be a little careful.VERDICT – “BUY”(at the time of writing this review, this costs less than Rs 700. Like the product but couple of things to watch out for – would have been good to have a temp indicator, very short cord length.

Bad product

Had to return the product because the steel base started to form a thin outer line of rust. The rust did not expand after further usage. It may have been a defective product, hence maybe we were just unlucky.Looks quite cool with the blue light though.

Very disappointed. the lid stopped closing after about 9 months, had to be closed with a weight on top so that the lid would shut while kettle is boiling. kettle broke down fully and not working in just over a year so warranty wasnt valid. definitly not to buy

Product is not good at all. We are facing the problem with gas leakage and vessels are turning black. Even though the product is in warranty for 2 yrs and we have not used for more than 2 months and it has started giving us so much of trouble. Request you to replace this defective piece.Even your own technician was not able to resolve the problem and the only way to reach out is one has to register a complaint but there is no contact number/ Helpline no. to reach out. It has been more than 24 hrs I have registered a complain but no call back received from the co. as yet.

This kettle is gorgeous and it’s holds a lot of water — I love it! If you let it sit after it heats up, the handle can get a little warm but overall I’m super, super happy with this. It is light weighted and works wonderfully. Perfect measure and handy.

First impression is that it is a great product.Pros1 Pastel green i ordered ( which they call blue colour ) is really appealing, soothing,, exactly as in the product page picture2 Heating is good3 Capacity is slightly large than 1.2 litre models, good round shape.4 The upper steaming chamber and its handle too are made of heat resistant material. No fear of burning hands. Great advantage which most other premium kettles of this kind don’t offer. For many others the upper chamber is steel, not heat laminated.5 Power cable and 3 pin made of good quality.6 Regulator for temperature is made of sturdy material.7 At low price, you are getting a premium KettleCon : Hardly any cons, would appreciate if a 360 degree rotating base model of this style is provided. Overall its a beautiful model, heats quickly and serves the purpose.

Pros:Light weight, easy to carry around the house even with liquids inside.Cons:Doesn’t have measuring cups and idly stand like shown in the images. I know they use the same images across variants. But this should be corrected for accuracy.Weak quality for this price. I had prestige kettle like the same – 2018 version, 1.2L, plastic insulated on the outside, but no auto-shutoff, which was of very good quality which lasted for more than 5 years for me.Unfortunately the model has been stopped for very obvious reasons. Compared to that, this is very weak. Weak steel as well, no insulation on the outside. 1.5L black variant with insulation costs Rs 1050. But it’s bigger and has a plug port which is a big caveat. You don’t wanna use it accidentally plugged. With almost the same price as that at Rs 900, this should have insulation for the entire kettle, not just for the handle. Chose this for mother who finds it lighter to carry.

We purchased in Jan 2022 and it’s a daily working horse with limitations. Pros is the board and coil didn’t fail yet. Used only for light cooking, water boiling, tea/coffe making, boiling milk.ConsMicro switches gone faulty and I replaced by myself after 15 months of purchase. If you have electronic background it’s just 5rs item with soldering knowledge it can be done easily.Main issue is we cant able to use 3 liter pressure cooker. Within 3-4 mins I am getting E6 (high temperature) warning and cutoff. Cleaned everything including fan and replaced thermal paste still same issue.We have to limit the wattage to max 1000W. Anything higher than that will cause E6 error. This is the main drawbackTouch button stickers are torn. But this type is better than feather touch panel or membrane switches as the micro switch is cheap.I am looking for better model which can sustain higher wattage.

A very good item from a reputed company for such a wonderful price. The items from Pigeon are durable and long lasting. I’ve been using a Gas stove for many years, now also the item is fine but spares are not available in the local service centers. I request them to make available the essential spares also. Usage is very straight forward without any glitch. Appearance is beautiful and sexy. As wattage is normal no heavy current charges.

Inside Steel finish is bad, looks like they just stopped at rough emery and forget to finish it off with fine emery. Hope the product is good.Also there is lots of scratch due to putting metallic attachment without cover inside the kettle.

If you are facing EO error after connecting to power source and turning the device on, please don’t panic. The hot plate doesn’t work unless an utensil is placed on top of it. So please keep something on the hot plate and only then turn it on.

The product works well. 2 containers in which rice can be cooked are provided (which to me is not really needed, one is enough, the second becomes a bit of a pain to store away). Similar to other experiences, the spatula was missing from the box. Not a deal breaker. Has been very useful in the few days since we have been using it (daily).

Gets the job done. Good for 2-3 person meal. The holes for water flow could have been placed in such a way that the water goes back in the container. If you have excess water, then it will flow outside.

idk if this is a defeat in mine but i have been using this for around a month and only a part of the bottom plate actually heats up. it makes anything that you are cooking hard apart from boiling cuz the heat doesn’t spread evenly. Also things stick to the surface of that one part. overall the product is nice if all you are cooking is boiling water and tea/coffee
