Well, I can’t say how satisfied our entire family is with this mixer grinder. It is well built. The motor has overload protection feature. And the stainless steel jars are very well made. The lids slide into and out of the jars seamlessly. It’ll be two years this September since we bought it and is still running great. The quality is almost as good as the grinders that we get in India. All Indians in USA should know that the quality of the Indian grinders we get here is not on par with what we get in India. Again, before buying this grinder, I bought a piece of junk called Preethi Blue Leaf from East West USA Store, fulfilled by Amazon and that grinder is in this link:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004XO1JZE/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Stay away from it in USA unless you know that you are buying it shipped and sold by Amazon or at least fulfilled by Amazon, so that you can be sure that you can return it with no questions asked in case you get a piece of junk like how we got. I’m lucky I bought that as fulfilled by Amazon. Otherwise it would have been $170 down the drain. We were so dejected with that item that we hesitated to buy any grinder for our Indian Kitchen for a while until my mother from India advised us that we can’t go wrong with this Eco Plus Grinder. Took her advise and bought it. No worries since then.To name a few, we make:1. Idly batter,2. Various kinds of Dosa batters like Minapattu, Pesarattu Guntur Style, Thick Pesarattu North Coastal Andhra Style3. Gravies for Koormas, Mutter Paneer, etc4. All kinds of Andhra chutnies like Beerakaya chutney, Vankaaya chutney, Gongura chutney, Tomato chutney, Palli chutney for Dosa and Idly, Mixed Palli-Putnaalu-Kobbari chutney for Dosa and Idly, Kobbari pacchadi for white rice, Kandhi pacchadi (a Guntur delicacy made from roasted toor daal),5. Various powders like Sambar Powder, Chaaru Powder, Nuvvula podi, my Mother’s Special Podi for Vankaaya koora, Putnaala podi, Kamma podi, Gunturu Kaarappodi….You name it, we make it. The same stuff I used to enjoy in my good old Guntur in India. Thanks to Amazon for bringing a smile on all our faces here in USA. I bought it sold and shipped by Amazon unlike some other unlucky buyers who got their hands burnt by dealing with General Elect, Gandhi Electronics etc. They are all con and scam artists. I bought preeti blue leaf as I was visiting my husband in Canada. I have been using this product now for more than 20 days now… product came in good condition. It comes with many attachments. 1 small dry grinder good for dry masala grinding, 1 1 ltr wet grinder for all grinding purposes. (I have used this utensil the most)… being a south indian we cannot do without idli dosa and am happy to say that the idli batter comes out very nicely. Also u can grind different chutneys in this jar nicely…. we have 1 more juice extractor and juicer attachment which I have not yet used but I liked this product very much….however the mixer makes much noise and knob is a little tight( maybe because its new).. also the small dry grinder utensil is a steel jar with plastic covering. It is a little hard to wash the jar once used as the masala gotten in the sides is difficult to wash….overall a very good product and serves the purpose

Preethi Zodiac MG 218 750-Watt Mixer Grinder (Black/Light Grey)It’s a real looker..So I really wanted to replace my old mixer (Preethi Blue Leaf) and I was keeping an eye for this product for the past 6 months at least. Finally I bought it. First impression was AWESOME!! It looks really good.It was individually well wrapped on plastic bag and kept in a cardboard hosting. I am pretty sure that it was meant to protect it while shipping.So I started unwrap the bag and tried to assemble the jars and the bottom assembly (motor), I find that the jars are kind of dirty with some dust and smells like a ‘factory’ (probably it might have picked up from the manufacturing facility). So first thing first, I washed them individually using soapy warm water by hand and then rinse it with the motor running on normal water and everything was cleared and no foul smell. (I believe that Preethi should have taken care of this from their manufacturing facility itself) Not a deal breaker.Bottom Assembly (Motor Casing)***************************************It has a wide bottom and meant for stability with rubber holder (esp. while kneading atta using Master Chef jar), which does it’s job. Comparing to the Blue Leaf I had before, the air went is at the bottom (Good thing) so that if the jar is over flowing/leaking during grinding water seeping into the motor is minimal.It has two light indicator, one at the speed knob and other just below that, it lights Blue. It runs relatively quiet compares to Blue Leaf. (Good thing)I kind of felt that the knob is cheap. It is wobbly and it is not sturdy as Preethi Blue Leaf. It is the frequently used thing on the mixer and I don’t know why Preethi would go for a cheap looking/feeling wobble speed knob. It was just a turn off for the whole product. Read on.Mater Chef jar comes with it’s own set of accessories.Grating and slicing bladeBeater and chopping bladeCitrus juice extractor.It was marked up to 1500ML as the maximum volume. However, if you run this with 500ML water, it just over flows! So the actual liquid volume is little over 400ML, when you run the jar with liquid in it, it just climbs the side and over flows.. So watch out. (Bad)The slicing blade came with just one size. How you’re going to make thick/thin slices with just one blade? (Bad) I am not sure if there are different size blades available for purchase separately, if yes, please put that in the comment section below.Preethi ships just the grating/slicing blade where you can attach to a disc. The scary part is that I almost cut myself while trying to change the blade. The juicer blade is strictly for Pulpy and watery fruits such as Pineapple, Watermelon, Pomegranate, etc. While you can use blender to juice other fruits or even Beetroot, Carrots. The juicer unit is handly, the juicer blade however is very limited to pulpy fruits and you CANNOT use it for Carrot!. If you want to extract from carrot or beetroot or amla type vegetables, buy Juicer-mixer such as Philips Viva series. The Citrus extractor is another plastic unit which sits on top of the Chef unit (Food processor) with which you can easily extract juice unlike juicer. This is handy. The Juicer extractor unit is also very helpful when you try buttermilk from curd and also handy for extracting coconut milk!.Food Processor (Chef Jar)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~It is wrong to call this food processor, but it does some of the job such as Atta kneading, Chopping or slicing the vegetables. This is done using three blades, one for atta and two for chopping/slicing. The blades are VERY SHARP, handle it wth care!. The choppoing requires usually only few pulses. It is able to chop carrots, beetroots or cocounts very easily. I have not seen it stuck. however the vegetables need to be first cut in to small peices. Overall don’t expect this to satisfiy as food processor, these are just few extras you get. Didn’t try meat slicing yet. We are able to knead up to 4 cups of flour, but the manual says up to 6 is possible. 1 cup is for 3-4 chapathis. You need to reduce the water little bit less than what manual says, else it will be very stickyRegular mixie purpose~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~We tried the other three jars, they performed well for chutney as well as for batter. The mixie as usually heats up after continuous runs. So you must wait for it to cool, else your batter will not be good!. We did not observe any fault in this 1 month of usage. MostNegatives:~~~~~~~~1. Cleaning of the chef jar esp after atta kneading is a mess2. Shakes when kneading atta vigorously. Does not glue well on floorFinal verdict:~~~~~~~~~~Overal, we are happy and no complaints. Though we will not be using all of this, but atta kneading is very handly right now, esp you can now safely add hot water and start keanding which was not possible with hand. I recommend this product but only if you plan to use this functions. Don’t buy if you look for advanced juicer-mixer or food processor, this is just doing basic job of those. Been using this from last few months,the blades are good and makes fine powder while grinding,i use the wet container for idli batter which leaks sometimes if you don’t give pressure on the lid but apart from that its been a value for money product,I really like the super extracter helps me make a nice fruit juice to start my day.

Im 200% satisfied with this product… An essential product to be in a medium tomatoes large family.. It grinds very sooner such that the sound is adjustable.. I’m okay with it… It has a very good motor Thats y this much sound.. But it’s okay… Extremely happy… The packaging is really very good… Actually I have ordered in COD but I had money only in Amazon pay due to month end cash out… At that time I was very much nervoused.. But Delivery boy is very cool and handled my situation perfectly..

Compared to other mixi, this is way easier to clean.. looks very pretty on kitchen counter.. highly recommend this item, wont be disappointed if you are using it for preparing Indian cuisine..Update after a year:I use this mixer grinder at least 3 to 4 times a day to prepare food for my toddler. Once I had left a steel spoon inside the jar and turned it on. To my surprise, just the Coupler was broken. Replaced the Coupler for 7 bucks. Other than that it all works just fantastic. Highly recommend!

The product is beautiful and it truly has some great attachments. Also it has a very small footprint when compared to other mixer grinders. I love the dough maker and it works excellently well.But one big flaw that I am consistently facing is that it ain’t very efficient at what it needs to be doing. When grinding tomatoes or onions , there are always some pieces that remain. The puree is never chunk-free. A wonderchef does a better job at making purees.Secondly, the lids are horrible. They are not sufficiently tight and more often than not there is a small mess, when working with wet ingredients.Thirdly, at low speeds it makes a howling noise, which I don’t understand. Infact it is quiter at higher speeds.Overall it is a good all-rounder, but not a specialist.

The product was delivered 5 days ago. Here are my observations — The motor looks strong and base build sturdy to handle the speed. But the noise levels are on higher side- the smoothness of motor does not give a long lasting product . Fortunately 5 year warranty is there . Have to see how it performs- the Jar lids are pathetic design and I received a broken lid for one jar- wish to replace the product but wary of the next replacement considering something keeps missing or damaged from earlier experiences . Preethi does not have mechanism to replace specific item. Very bad- lids are not tight for head of jar and we have to hold it firmly. Else it is disaster. Moreover the vibrations disengage the hands on top too. Better lids and locked lids recommended.- Jars are over sized for the power . Full jar of batter results in over load. Time and limit the quantity to avoid this problem. Question – why have jar sizes that the product cannot handle ? Not the case with older versionsOverall mixed feelings and waiting to hear from Preethi in lid replacements

Powerful. Good working. Just be ready to hear loud noise. Otherwise all is wonderful steel body, appearance, look, operation all great.

Immediately upon receipt of the mixer/grinder i wrote to customer care of Preethi to let me know the nearest service center to my residence. Also wanted to know how does the guarantee work. The guarantee card is not stamped by any dealer.Even after a week there is not even an acknowledgement from Preethi.

Been using this product since 2018, powerful machine. But handle broke and the locking mechanism is not on point but I have work around. But I still love the product because it’s very very powerful! Makes Dosa batter like a piece of cake!

This is an amazing product design !!I had better brands and higher watt power than this but believe me the design so awesome, specially the chutney jar doesn’t catch up heat even when I run on high number, and it is powerful yet non-nosey..it will not get in to overload mode, loving this product !!over all body of the motor is so compact, doesn’t occupy my counter space tooThe only draw back I see is the size of the chutney jar is too small than other models I had.

I have preeti blue leaf which I bought from India in 2014, so my chutney jar is already replaced once. My parents bought that one from India, it was bad quality not grinding properly and noisy. We were planning to buy new mixer due to this as chutney jar is most used for grinding.Placed the order as second one stopped working ( worked for 4 years). Delivery was next day, from look itself it was of good quality. I am using it for a month now, no complaints.I use it to grind (wet grinding) coconut for chutnies and curry, and grind really fine.

Very noisy and doesn’t grind everything. Leaves chunks as is despite adding some water or grinding more. Chunks of ingredients like coconut, garlic, ginger etc are always left.

Since it was 110 V we could not check if it worked before carrying it to the US. Once it was taken there, we realised it was non functional and called Amazon before return window time. But since it was in the US we could not return it by the time frame of 10 days. Money wasted for non functional unit.

Writing this review after 3 months of using this mixer grinder. Medium and small jar working good but the big jar’s coupler was damaged. I used that jar almost everyday to make smoothies. Called preethi’s service centre and within 3 hours they sent someone to repair it. Had to pay travelling fee of ₹150 but it was ok as I live in nowhere. Excellent customer service. He also told me to use the jar with pulse settings instead of normal 1.2.3.First I mailed them. No response so I calling them. Calling was easy and action was taken instantly.Mixy is very powerful and strong.

As I brought this item after so many thought but this item is perfectly for super fine grinding of very hard items too. Like fine black pepper and so on. Just one thing which I don’t like in this grinder that’s the reason I am giving it 4 start if you don’t press very tight from the top it will be big mess up around .Because of grinding force it’s spelled out very bad.

Very good product. Can improve on lid fitting (small chutney jar). The blade in mid size jar came out (screw opened during using). Except for these two small things, it has proven performance.

It is very loud. In six months of use, the chutney jar blade become loose. The bush and washers needs replacement. The service center repaired it under warranty.Used a Philips mixie for 20 years and the only service I did was replacing chutney jar twice and the brushes once.

The motor coupler keeps melting and sticking to either to the jar or the motor body. We had to keep visiting the service centre like 5 times just within the first year.I feel after few more times we give up to visit the service centre.If you’re far from service centre please dont buy.

This mixer has been a staple in my kitchen for the past three years. Ideal for grinding, juicing and much more. The seller’s packaging was brilliant too. Arrived to Canada quickly and in great shape. Bear in mind that the mixer is LOUD but gets the job done really well.

Good level of manufacturing but I feel a small disappointment because of its base was make with plastic instead of matel. If they use matel base it will long lasting. The plastic base will break and unable to fix even though if they fall from 2feet height.

I use this mixie for making dosa batter, smoothies, fruit juices, infant foods, chammanthi, etc….. I love this product as it is very useful to me. ….No other complaints till now……I love it.

I have bought this product and got it delivered to Canada .. as I was in desperate need of a mixer and grinder but this product has disappointed me so much. The moment I start grinding it’s turns off or it starts spilling out entirely. Not worth it of spending so much money and shipped it all the way to abroad.

It’s a nice blender with 3 stainless steel jugs

The mixie received was the same model as offered and ordered from Amazon. Our earlier mixie was also Preethi (different model) and was performing well with few repairs during its life. Understand now Preethi has been acquired by Phillips.Grinding process with the new mixer is satisfactory. We have used it just for a month or so and long term durability/ service has to be experienced after use ! The machine noise intensity is a bit high though!P.S. – subsequent comments:we started using the machine after 3 months of purchase. Recently we found a problem with the smallest jar(chutney jar). Its blades are not rotating though mixer rotor is rotating. Amazon customer care said they undertake to repair/ replace the part only within 10 dati of delivery. After that you need to approach the manufacturer. Preethi said the nearest service center is 100 km from my town and it will cost ₹ 150 for home service. So practically the warranty was no use as it would take time for getting service from far off service centre. We have no option but to give it to a local technician ( dealing with all brands) and hope that it can be fixed. with this situation my normal and extended warranty is of no much use.

Worst experience with seller.. dont you guys check the knob before packing also the shaft free running. Very bad and wont recommend this seller.. not worth the risk, if you are taking the mixer US or Canada. In india we cant test it and this folks are making use of it. With limited time to travel, I cant wait for the replacement of this product. Bad, worst, not worth the money.

Dream come true.I m using Preeti products since last 20 years .this one is third one.very strong motor. No complaint at all.when the jar damaged I bought new.but motor is still working.

We bought this in Nov 2022, after 2 yrs of using I can safely say this is one of the worst product. To begin with be ready for sound, it’ll sound as if you have a tractor or a 10hp motor running at your home, extremely noisy, next is grinding let’s take coconut unless you scrape it nothing will happen, if we cut coconut to pieces and then try to grind they’ll remain pieces totally useless blades, can’t even cut sponge, then is the weight so heavy you’ll feel all the other items at home light weight. Then the accessories all are made of plastic that’s probably scrapped from junkyards extremely brittle and is of no use. In one word STAY AWAY
